ETIOLOGY. When the Spleen and digestive systems ability to transform and transport is impaired, “dampness” accumulates and congeals into phlegm. This dampness often combines with internal “heat” to produce damp heat. It often results from over eating hot, acrid, peppery, greasy, fatty foods (fast foods) over consumption of alcohol, overeating sugars and sweets, Unchecked emotions such as jealousy, suspicion, and resentment. Anger, anxiety, over worry, and eating unclean, contaminated foods.
SYMPTOMS. Fever, thirst without desire to drink, dry mouth with sticky taste, slight sweating, feeling of heat, jaundice, tiredness and sleepiness, foul smelling discharges, heaviness in the body head and limbs. Oppression and stuffiness in chest, and epigastrium. No appetite, nausea, vomiting, headaches, joint pains, muscle aches, fatigue after slight exertion, lack of concentration. Poor short term memory, abdominal distention, bloating, frequent loose foul smelling stools, burning sensation in anus, pain before and during cycle. Sticky menstrual cycle with mid cycle bleeding, yellow brownish discharge before menstruation. Genital swelling and itching. Odoriferous discharge. Frequent urgent urination with burning and dark yellow foul smelling urine. Impotence and infertility.
CONDITIONS. Infections, arthritis, gout, venereal diseases, jaundice, gallstones, skin cancer, urinary tract infections, kidney stones, impotence, canker sores, chronic colitis, acne, dysentery, eczema, dysmenorrhea
