An integral part of total wellness is the cultivation and aggregation of your Qi (Chi). Qi is the primary life force of any living organism that interacts with the universe. It is the root force of all life functions. It protects us from harm, motivates organ function, transforms and transports nutrients, and grants us the ability to think, act and otherwise be present in the universe.

Aram Akopyan instructs on several key forms of Qi Gong and Tai Chi, as part of his protocol for total wellness. Classes are offered in-group sessions or on individual bases.

There are many ancient methods for cultivating and aggregating the Qi. These methods, or forms can be classified into two major categories.

  • Coarse cultivation and aggregation is the first and most important part of cultivating the Qi. It involves forms of Qi Gong (literally translated Working with QI) movements to first and foremost open and unblock the meridian network coursing the body. The meridian network is where Qi flows in the body. Most individuals are unaware of this complex network of pathways. These pathways need to be open and flowing for Qi to move without hindrance. Qi Gong exercises such as the Eight Treasures, Microcosmic orbit and Macrocosmic orbit offer key practices to help unblock the meridian networks and to stimulate free flow of Qi. This not only helps in aggregating and cultivating Qi, but has the added benefit of alleviating many diseases and disorders, as they are often associated with blockage of Qi and Blood.
  • Fine Cultivation follows after all the meridian networks have been opened and proper flow of Qi has been established through the network. Many Tai Chi forms provide practical ways of fine tuning and tweaking the Qi cultivation at this point. Depending on the types of cultivation needs, forms may include the Sword Form, Ba Gua, Harmony Tai Chi. All of these forms offer an excellent practices for the advanced student to continue the cultivation practices.

Aram currently holds community QI GONG Practice session for his students. All are welcome to participate.
